Sketchbook II (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), was inspired by Max Reinhardt’s film, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” from 1935. For a brief moment, there were vehement ideas to re-stage the iconic masterpiece during the summer of 2020. As the first pages could almost be read as direct references to the film or notes for future productions, this tangible approach quickly evaporates in the following pages and the illustrative elements gradually fade into free associations to just about anything, anytime, anywhere, under the title “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”
