American Art Catalogues presents The World, the Flesh, and the Devil, published on the occasion of a project in three parts by Marianne Vitale. Co-published with Éditions Lutanie, the book features images of Worthies, a permanent installation near the Mabile Valley Dam in Savenay (2018); Amputations/Resurrections, an exhibition at the Mosquito Coast Factory Campbon (2019); and The World, the Flesh, and the Devil exhibition at the Couvent des Cordeliers in Savenay (forthcoming at time of publication). Accompanying Vitale’s artwork is an essay by Rachel Valinsky which evaluates Vitale’s response to the town Savenay and its historical significance.
