The Borlem Prize is proud to announce Daniel Turner as the inaugural recipient of the 2021 Borlem Prize. The $40,000.00 prize is awarded to a single artist each year whose oeuvre brings awareness to mental health issues and struggles. In light of the award, Turner has chosen the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as the recipient of a $20,000.00 donation to be made in his name. The Borlem Prize was created in the memory of Fernando Toscano (1986-2018); may he rest in peace.
